Check out the newly released horror short, THE CARRIER . We shot this last summer and finally it's here. THE CARRIER is a fun, entertaining " B movie" style flick. So it is not to be taken seriously. Enjoy. The BAR CODE musical reading was quite successful. We had some great feedback. A big thank you to all those who came out to support and a big thank you to my fellow cast members and creative team. I had such a wonderful time!! Looking forward to seeing what the future holds for this show. Have a great summer everyone! |

My latest project is a reading of the new musical Bar Code. The cast is great and the creative team is outstanding. Debbie Andrews and Mike Blaxill (music, lyrics and book) co-write and perform for the pop band Gladshot whose songs have been featured on TNT ("Men of a Certain Age"), CW, Oxygen, MTV and ABC television shows, and they've shared the stage with such artists as OK Go, Free Energy, The Antlers, and Michelle Shocked. Ted Lange (book) is a prolific playwright whose best known as Isaac on TV's "Love Boat." Jim Rado (creative consultant) created HAiR, co-authoring the book and lyrics, and played the lead role of Claude on Broadway. For all the info on the reading, go to www.barcodethemusical.com.
April 2011 For the month of March, I have been in rehearsal for an April 1st opening of Gunmetal Blues. I play detective Sam Galahad, the no nonsense wisecracking detective. Gunmetal Blues, by Scott Wentworth, songs by Craig Bohmler and Marion Adler, is a musical inspired by the gritty 1930s-40s private-detective stories of writers like Dashiell Hammet and Raymond Chandler. It takes place at the Red Eye Lounge, "one of those bars in one of those hotels out by an airport." The time is "one of those nights. Pretty late." The show follows the efforts of private detective Sam Galahad as he traces the whereabouts of a beautiful young woman who may or may not be responsible for the death of her wealthy and powerful father. Along the way he meets several characters, all of them played by just two other actors. The action, which begins and ends at that same airport bar with a piano, includes every cliché in the book. Filled with plot twists and jazzy saloon music Gunmetal Blues sets the film noir genre in a smoke filled lounge right where it belongs. Directed by Paul Ellis, the cast consists of Timothy Getz, Joseph Mulholland and Jaclyn Walsh. Timothy Getz also serves as Musical Director and Costumes are by Susan McLaughlin. Kings Theatre Company presents its second Dinner Theater production, Gunmetal Blues, at The Lycian Centre for the Performing Arts. Opens April 1st and closes April 10th. For more info, including tickets sales, go to www.lyciancentre.com. Be sure to check out new photos from the show as well!
